Agreements to this effect were signed on September 15 between the two companies and the Vietnamese National Children's Fund (NFVC) of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha said 28 million children in Vietnam live in extremely difficult conditions and 2.1 million require a support.
Over the past 28 years, the NFVC has mobilized more than 7.1 trillion dong to support 33 million tours of underprivileged children across the country. Of the total capital, nearly 130 billion dong was collected in 2019 and 25 billion dong in 2020. This year, the fund was used for the prevention of drowning in children and the care and protection of children in the context of COVID-19 she added.
Nguyên Thi Ha took the opportunity to call on donors and domestic and foreign companies to contribute more to the fund to help the targeted children. VNA /CVN
