ITV show Lorraine has been hit with over 1,300 Ofcom complaints after its segment about Covid vaccinations.
Ofcom received a huge total of 1,312 complaints from angry viewers after the controversial topic matter was broadcast on Monday.
During Monday’s instalment of the ITV show, Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp appeared on the show following his recent campaign which urged UK citizens to get the jab.
During the show, Dr Hilary also stated that “90 per cent of the people that are in hospital are unvaccinated”.
The celebrity doctor issued a plea for people to get jabbed against the disease ahead of the festive season – but his words didn’t go down well with Lorraine viewers.
“Those people who haven’t been vaccinated, we’d really love you to think again and be vaccinated,” Dr Hilary said during the segment.
Now, Ofcom have confirmed the reason for the complaints, revealing that it related to the discussion about the number of unvaccinated people in hospital, according to Daily Star.
