The Bayouval Music Festival will be held at Bayou Pointe, 100 Warhawk Way, Monroe, from 2-8 p.m. Friday.
This festival will benefit the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Visual & Performing Arts student scholarships. Entertainment will be provided by Code Blue and the Flatliners, along with special guests.
T-shirts, festival posters, and commemorative CDs will be available for purchase, along with food and beverages provided by local vendors.
General admission is $25.
Are you a car, truck and bike enthusiast?
The 11th Annual Driven Desires Car, Truck and Bike Show will be held at the Monroe Civic Center Arena, 401 Lea Joyner Memorial Expressway, Monroe from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will include fun for kids.
Funds raised will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The ULM will face off against Jackson State University at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Coach Terry Bowden will test his mettle against JSU Coach Deion Sanders.
