LS Polls Election 2024 Phase 3: The voting for the third phase of Lok Sabha Election 2024 is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 7, encompassing 93 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across 11 states and union territories. According to the Elections Commission of India, a total of 1,351 candidates will be contesting in this phase of the polls. The first two phases of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections have concluded, with the first phase held on April 19 across 102 constituencies and the second phase on April 26 in 89 constituencies. In the first phase, a total of 1,625 candidates contested, while the second phase saw 1,198 candidates in the fray.
Initially, 94 constituencies across 12 states and Union Territories were slated to vote in the third phase on May 7. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured victory in Surat, Gujarat, unopposed. Additionally, polling for the Anantnag-Rajouri seat in Jammu and Kashmir has been postponed to May 25. In Madhya Pradesh, voting for Betul originally scheduled for the second phase on April 26, will now occur during the third phase on May 7.
