Lok Sabha Elections 2024 LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address three election rallies in West Bengal on Friday. Modi arrived in the state capital Kolkata on Thursday evening and went straight to the Raj Bhavan from the airport. He was welcomed by Governor C V Ananda Bose at the Raj Bhavan.
The prime minister is scheduled to address public meetings in Krishnanagar, Purba Bardhaman and Bolpur Lok Sabha constituencies.
Meanwhile, Congress has fielded Tsering Namgyal from the Ladakh Lok Sabha seat. The Congress’ central election committee has approved the name of Tsering Namgyal as the candidate to contest the general elections from Ladakh, an official communication from the party said.
