Last week, her documentary Love, Lizzo was released on HBO Max on November 24.
The film — which was filmed over the course of three years — documents her Cuz I Love You world tour, the peak of the pandemic, and the recording of her latest hit album Special.
In the intimate documentary, the classically-trained flutist gets candid about body positivity, self-love, and recognizing Black women for their contributions and successes.

The Detroit-born star told the Today show on November 23: ‘People don’t really know where I came from.’
For that reason, she expressed excitement about sharing her childhood, her early passion for music, and the rise to her famed career today.
The Truth Hurts singer added, ‘It’s finally the full story on my terms.’

She also divulged into her experience as a Black pop artist in the stigmatized music genre.
In the documentary, she dissected the problematic origins of certain music genres.
On Friday, the award-winning star told Entertainment Weekly, ‘Well, genre’s racist inherently.’
She added: ‘I think if people did any research, they would see that there was race music and then there was pop music.
‘And race music was their way of segregating Black artists from being mainstream because they didn’t want their kids listening to music created by Black and brown people because they said it was demonic and yada, yada, yada.’
The star — whose album Special was Grammy-nominated six times — told Variety: ‘There’s never a right time to start documenting and telling your story.
‘And if I had waited to film this, then I wouldn’t have captured Coachella and the VMAs, and Truth Hurts going number one, my life during the pandemic, and the Grammys, and my arena tour now,’ she said.
‘I wouldn’t have gotten all of this footage that I think is just so important to my career.’
