In the scene, the 34-year-old actress sported a casual, unglamorous outfit as she sat on a park bench and appeared to smoke a cigarette during a seemingly tense phone conversation.
At one point, she was also spotted checking in and having a chat with the writer, director, and producer of the film — David Mackenzie, 57.
For her costume and makeup, the Pam & Tommy star modeled dark brunette hair that was styled in a loose and low ponytail with wavy face-framing money pieces.
The Downton Abbey vet — who lamented the perils of modern dating after breaking up her now-ex Michael Shuman in February — was also spotted in minimal makeup to showcase her flawless skin and natural beauty.

The Cinderella alumna sat on the edge of a public bench by herself in the scene and was seen deep in thought after filming a scene talking on the phone.
She was also seen brewing over something on her mind and puffing on a cigarette to ease her stress.
When the cameras were not rolling, James appeared in good spirits as she chatted to the staff on set.
In the thriller film, James stars alongside Avatar: The Way Of Water star Sam Worthington, as well as Oscar winner Riz Ahmed.
According to the synopsis on IMDb, Relay follows a fixer named Tom — played by Ahmed.
He ‘keeps his identity hidden while brokering lucrative payoffs between corrupt corporations and the individuals who threaten their ruin’.
