LIBERTY — A 75-year-old man has been accused of killing a 90-year-old woman in her Ferndale home on Monday.
Police said they received a 911 call at 6:58 p.m. for a possible homicide at Butler's home, and she was found dead inside.
Brodie, who also lives on Harris Road in Liberty, was charged with second-degree murder, a felony. Police have not released any other details on Brodie or the circumstances of Butler's death.
Brodie was arraigned in Thompson Town Court but his case will be handled by Liberty Town Court. He is being held without bail at the Sullivan County Jail and is due back in court on Thursday.
The police were helped by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office, which did not immediately have any other details on the case.
