Letter: 'Do something positive about homelessness'

letter: 'do something positive about homelessness'

Homelessness

After being homeless myself in the past I can’t understand why Winchester City Council can’t pull their finger out and finally after so many years do something positive regarding homelessness.

How about taking over our old leisure centre and finally spend some money on the homeless and convert the massive building into separate rooms etc, no let’s just sell off our green sites to companies to build overpriced housing and watch the money come rolling in.

Will homelessness in Winchester be sorted? No, not with the way our council works and always has been but we’ve got to think about the problem.

Pete Cook,

Firmstone Road,

Winchester
