‘Let the cat out the bag’: Sussan Ley hints at tax changes
Ms Ley was grilled on Sunday over whether the Liberal Party would reverse the government’s changes to the stage three tax cuts if it wins the next election.
The Deputy Liberal leader said the party would have a plan which is “lower, simpler and fairer” and will present a “clear difference”.
She refused to admit however the election would be a “war on tax cuts”.
“They are going to do something with the brackets,” Mr Clennell said.
“It is going to be the war at the election. I guess she realised she probably shouldn’t announce the policy on Sunday Agenda.”
