First 2 grandstand acts for 2024 Clay County Fair announced
SPENCER, Iowa (KCAU) — The first two grandstand acts of the 2024 Clay County Fair have been announced.
The first of the two shows coming to the Clay County Fair later this year is The Mavericks with special guest the Jorgensens. This show will take place at the fair on September 9 starting at 7:30 p.m.
The Mavericks are described by the Clay County Fair as an “eclectic rock and country group known for crisscrossing musical boundaries.” On top of this, they also released an album that was completely in Spanish, which debuted #1 on Billboard.
The Mavericks will be opened for by the Jorgensens. The Jorgensens is a band from the Twin Cities that incorporates blues, soul, jazz, and rock into their music.

The second grandstand act announced for the Clay County Fair is Blues Traveler who will be performing at the fair on September 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Blues Traveler is a rock band known for their blues rock and jam band sounds. Their recent album, Traveler’s Blues, is nominated for a Grammy for “Best Traditional Blues Album.” A special guest for this show will be determined at a later date.
