Legends address wrestling drama at Bulldogs

We think though this this could be a dangerous precinct because I don’t feel like you can run a rugby league team and under the same rules as a working environment, business environment. So that’s gonna be dangerous if you get to a point when you’re training hard and the players are watching and you are getting flogged and if someone stops or walks during fitness. Lucky I didn’t have to do all that wrestling stuff. I wasn’t in the game then. But we would get flogged to the point of breaking point and the we do all watching. Soon you applies. Especially if someone walked or quit. We would say we’re never playing with him. We don’t want him within our club. He’s not up to our standards. And that’s the thing. You get to the point of breaking point, like these Army camps, and you see the character of the person when you’re at that spot, when you got breaking point, which means when it hits the fan on the field, you can trust them and that’s what the job of conditioner. That’s why offseason training is so important. Well, I spoken after the Manly game about Nathan Brown they had. An army camp where they walked for 42 hours, they stayed awake for 42 hours and they went from Manly, Brookvale, walked over to Bondi and came back basically, and then trained in amongst that. And Nathan Brown at the end of it was given the award of best on ground. And now I look at the sort of football he plays and it shows you what happens when you actually do really well in those tough moments, how it actually comes out in your game. So I’ve got to say, if I had to make the choice out of staying awake for 42 hours and walking to Bondi and back, I’m serious. All wrestling 35 people to the point where and once you’re wrestling, once you’re fatigue, you’re gone anyway, so. I’ll tell you, I’ll turn an example. 35 wrestling anyway. Had two pliers which had a bit of a Barney words, so we went to the boxing gym and the coach said right, get him on, get in and fight. And they teed off on each other for a couple of minutes, douche into it and then finally when one got knocked over, right, oh that’s enough. Shake hands. I know it’s done.
