The Christian Dior pre-fall 2024 show in Brooklyn, New York was a family affair for Naomi Watts. The actress was joined by her 15-year-old daughter Kai Schreiber for the event.

Schreiber, who is Watts’ child with ex-partner Liev Schreiber, wore a pair of sensible flats for the event. The teen isn’t often photographed at public events.

The pair sat on the front row alongside talent like Alexandra Shipp, Rosamund Pike, Anya Taylor-Joy and Michelle Williams. The show featured pieces that were first previewed to media in December.
About the shoe
Schreiber’s shoes are a trending silhouette: the pointed toe is the style of choice at the moment. Her black shoes seem to be flats. They also feature perforation across the top, though her feet do not appear to be visible.

Her mother, on the other hand, wore a platform heel with an open toe. That shoe featured a mesh upper and gold detailing rimming the cut out.
Pointed Toes for Spring
The pointed toe is trending this spring. Though it’s being seen largely in pointed to stiletto pumps, people are wearing all type of pointed-toe silhouettes this season from tall, over-the-knee boots to flats.
The pointed toe has the effect of elongating the foot. While that can mean, in the case of a heel it can elongate the leg, in the case of a flat it can make the foot just seem longer and thinner. Balenciaga has notably been taking this to extremes. Their styles like the Supersoft Derby and the Pasadena Loafer feature elongated and pointed toe boxes.
