In Ukraine, 80 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day. The enemy is trying to attack at the Lyman Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Over the past day, 80 combat engagements took place. In total, Russians launched 3 missile and 43 air strikes and fired 102 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in injuries and deaths among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civilian infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.
At night, Russian occupants attacked Ukraine using 4 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed all enemy UAVs.
Air strikes were carried out in Vilkhuvatka, Petropavlivka, Borova in Kharkiv region; Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Rozdolivka, Zhelanne, Berdychi, Tonenke, Soloviove, Orlivka, Umanske, Semenivka in Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Over 100 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Situation at frontlines
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia direction.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the Russians maintain a military presence in the border areas, conduct active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increase the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled two attacks near Tabaivka, Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 10 enemy attacks near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, Terny, and southeast of Vyimka, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 8 occupants’ attacks near Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Lastochkino, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy in Heorhiivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Here, the invaders, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 18 times.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russians did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russians unsuccessfully tried to attack the positions of our troops near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, 10 times.
In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to expand the bridgehead. Despite significant losses, the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their positions. Thus, over the past day, the enemy made 16 unsuccessful assaults.
Russian losses
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces aviation struck 4 areas of concentration of Russian personnel. Also, in the eastern direction, Ukrainian air defense destroyed a Su-34 fighter bomber and one Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV.
Ukrainian missile troops struck 1 area of concentration of personnel, 3 command posts, and 2 ammunition depots of the Russians.
