Lana Del Rey amongst stars sporting Irish design at the 2024 Met Gala
There’s nothing quite like giving a fashion rundown of all the looks at the Met Gala. Admittedly, we look a tad disheveled in our pjs at home while we do it, but that’s neither here nor there!
As always, we love to see well-known faces sporting and supporting Irish design, and this year was no exception.

From Lana Del Rey to our honorary Irish queens Sarah Jessica Parker and Ayo Edibiri, here are the stars who opted to wear Irish for the 2024 Met Gala.
Lana Del Rey in Alexander McQueen

Lana Del Rey sported Alexander McQueen by creative director and Irish designer Seán McGirr on the Met Gala red carpet.
The songstress took inspiration from the classic Sleeping Beauty tale with her Briar Rose-esque gown. The silk, tulle and georgette corseted dress featured hand-embroidered thorns that climbed from the base of her skirt up behind her head.
Lana completed the look with a large veil that draped itself elegantly over the thorny branches.
Ariana Grande in Loewe

Ariana Grande opted for custom Loewe, designed by Northern Irish man Jonathan Anderson, to walk the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala.
The songstress looked radiant in a bustier gown which featured a hand-pleated, multi-layer silk chiffon skirt.

Sarah Jessica Parker channeled her Sex and the City alter ego Carrie Bradshaw for her 2024 Met Gala look.
The actress, who frequently holidays in Co Donegal with her husband Matthew Broderick, sported a sculptural Richard Quinn corset gown, which featured embellished floral lace and a cinched waistline.
SJP completed the look with a Philip Treacy headpiece, Briony Raymond jewellery and a pair of nude stilettos.
Ayo Edibiri in Loewe

Similarly to Ariana, Ayo Edibiri made a fashion statement in custom Loewe for her Met Gala debut.
Designed by Jonathan Anderson, her halter-neck gown was covered in beautifully hand-painted and hand-embroidered floral lace.
Ayo hit the nail on the head when it came to the theme, as her dress was accessorised with 3D appliqué flowers blooming from the base of its skirt.

It wouldn’t be the Met Gala without an outfit change! This year, it was Zendaya who took it upon herself to bring flare to the event.
Initially, the former Disney Channel actress donned a Margiela outfit; however, she later returned to the start of the red carpet to debut a Givenchy gown.
Zendaya completed her second look with an incredible floral Philip Treacy headpiece from Alexander McQueen SS07.
