Tuvalu is one of the world’s most at-risk countries for rising sea levels.
The entire country is forecast to be underwater by the end of the century.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in November of 2023, offered permanent residency to Tuvalu’s population of 11,200 under a world-first resettlement agreement for ‘climate refugees’.
