Labor offers $4 billion in hospital funding
The Labor government has offered to increase Commonwealth spending for hospitals by $4 billion.
The move is an attempt to break a hospital funding stalemate.
The Albanese government is set to increase Commonwealth spending for hospitals by 13.5 per cent.
It will take effect in the first year of a new funding agreement.
This will see more than double the proposed cap of 6.5 per cent as part of a deal struck by National Cabinet last December.
