Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were the two players to represent the Boston Celtics at All-Star weekend. Both forwards took part in the All-Star game on Sunday (Feb. 18.) Brown also participated in the dunk contest, where he flashed his creative side by performing a series of contemporary dunks designed to tell a story throughout the rounds.
Neither member of the Celtics won the All-Star MVP, as that went to Damian Lillard after an impressive display of shot-making and limitless shooting range. However, both Tatum and Brown gave a good account of themselves by showcasing their skills and scoring ability.
Of course, the All-Star game is far from competitive. No one wants to get hurt. So, the players shift their focus to putting on a show for fans around the world.
Despite the lack of competitiveness, Celtics play-by-play announcer Drew Carter joined the “First to the Floor” podcast to recap and review Tatum and Brown’s All-Star performances.
