Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud competed in the 2024 Celebrity All-Star game in Indianapolis. Stroud came out on the losing end, as Team Stephen A sustained a 100-91 loss to Team Shannon Sharpe.
Stroud is a former basketball player who once scored 40 points in a high school game against Miami Heat’s Jaime Jaquez Jr. After hitting seven homers during the Cactus Jack Celebrity Softball Classic Thursday night, Stroud put on a show on the basketball court. He finished with 30 points in the loss.
Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons took home MVP honors after leading Team Shannon Sharpe to a victory. He finished with 37 points in the win.

Stroud fell short of a victory. But the last time he played a game at Lucas Oil Stadium, the former Ohio State prospect proved why he is a rising star in his respective sport.
He led the Texans to a Week 18 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Stroud not only led the Texans to their third 10-win season in franchise history. But the rookie quarterback led Houston to their first postseason appearance since 2019.
Stroud capped off the regular season of his rookie year by throwing for 264 yards while going 20 of 26. On the Texans’ first offensive drive, Stroud connected with wide receiver Nico Collins for a 75-yard touchdown.
Stroud finished his rookie season with 4,557 total passing yards, including the postseason, which is the second-most in NFL history by a rookie quarterback — trailing only Andrew Luck (4,662) in 2012.
A successful first season at the helm in Houston led to Stroud being named Offensive Rookie of the Year honors amid his first Pro Bowl selection.
