KPLB bantu PKRC di Kg. Penderas

TEMERLOH – Kementerian Pembangunan Luar Bandar (KPLB) akan menyalurkan peruntukan untuk kegunaan Pusat Kuarantin dan Rawatan (PKRC) Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Penderas di Kampung Penderas di sini.

Menterinya, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid berkata, jumlah peruntukan tersebut bagaimanapun akan diputuskan selepas penilaian dibuat.

“Jumlah peruntukan akan bincangkan nanti sebab kita baru datang melihat kawasan sekitar pada hari ini,” katanya kepada pemberita dalam sidang akhbar di Kampung Penderas di sini pada Khamis.

Beliau berkata sedemikian sempena lawatan ke Pahang, juga bagi meninjau PKRC di Kampung Penderas yang dikenakan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Diperketatkan (PKPD) bermula 10 hingga 25 September ini.

Hadir sama pada lawatan itu ialah Timbalan Menteri Pembangunan Luar Bandar, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad; Timbalan Menteri Dalam Negeri I, Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Mohamed Said yang juga Ahli Parlimen Kuala Krau; Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat Orang Asli (Jakoa), Sapiah Mohd Nor dan Pengarah Jakoa Pahang, Johari Alwi.

Mahdzir berkata, PKRC Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Penderas yang menempatkan masyarakat orang asli khususnya di perkampungan tersebut mula dibuka pada Rabu.

“Pembukaan pusat kuarantin khas mendapat kerjasama daripada Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Pahang dan dikelolakan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) dan Jakoa.

“Seramai 1,133 masyarakat orang asli melibatkan 10 buah kampung sekitar Kuala Krau dijangkiti Covid-19 dengan merekodkan empat kematian setakat ini,” katanya.

Sehingga kini, katanya, PKRC yang boleh menampung 500 pesakit itu kini menempatkan seramai 184 pesakit.

“Kita boleh menempatkan 200 pesakit di asrama dan 300 pesakit lagi di dalam kelas yang diubah suai mengikut keperluan semasa dan situasi Covid-19 dalam kalangan masyarakat orang asli di kawasan ini,” jelasnya.

Beliau berkata, setakat ini sejumlah 134,494 masyarakat orang asli sudah menerima vaksin.

Daripada jumlah itu, katanya, seramai 77,970 orang menerima dos pertama manakala 50,734 orang sudah lengkap kedua-dua dos.

“Selain itu, seramai 5,790 individu orang asli telah menerima vaksin jenis CanSino. Baki yang masih belum divaksin sedang diusahakan untuk menerima secepat mungkin,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, Ismail berkata, pihaknya menghargai dan berterima kasih dengan keprihatinan kementerian terhadap masyarakat orang asli di Parlimen tersebut.

“Kita akan menggunakan sekolah ini sebagai PKRC sehingga kes positif Covid-19 di perkampungan Penderas dan sekitarnya reda.

“Setakat ini, terdapat 184 orang telah dimasukkan ke sini dan petang ini (Khamis), kita akan tiga buah bas lagi akan membawa mereka yang terlibat,” katanya.
