KooKoo hankki maajoukkuetason puolustajan

Jääkiekon SM-liigassa pelaava KooKoo tiedotti torstaina tehneensä sopimuksen norjalaispuolustaja Christian Kåsastulin kanssa. Pesti on 1+1 -vuotinen.

Kåsastul siirtyy Kouvolaan Itävallan ICEHL-liigasta. Hän pelasi siellä tällä kaudella 41 runkosarjaottelua ja 13 pudotuspeliottelua. Runkosarjassa hänen tehonsa olivat 3+7=10 ja pudotuspeleissä 1+3=4.

– Christian on vahva kamppailija ja hyvä puolustava puolustaja. Hän antaa joukkueelleen 100 prosenttia jokaisessa vaihdossa ja uskon, että kannattajamme tulevat pitämään myös hänestä, KooKoon urheilujohtaja Jarno Kultanen kommentoi tuoretta hankintaansa tiedotteessa.

Kåsastul pelasi SM-liigaa aiemmin HIFK:ssa kaudella 2022-23.

– Nautin pelaamisesta Liigassa, odotan innolla palaamista yhteen Euroopan kovimmista sarjoista. Halusin tulla takaisin, koska koen, että pelityyli sopii minulle. Sain hyvän fiiliksen KooKoosta, joten päätös oli helppo, Kåsastul sanoo.
