Komşu ile Türkiye arasına yeni köprü! Tarih verildi

Türkiye’deki İpsala ile Yunanistan’ın Kipi sınır kapıları arasına Meriç Nehri üzerine yapılacak yeni köprünün inşa çalışmalarına bu yıl başlanacak.

Edirne Valisi Yunus Sezer, köprünün yapılacağı alanda incelemede bulundu.

Proje hakkında bilgi alan Sezer, köprünün sınır kapıları arasındaki geçişleri hızlandıracağını belirtti.

Sezer’e ziyaretinde Vali Yardımcısı Eyyüp Batuhan Ciğerci, İlçe Kaymakamı Ömer Sevgili, İl Jandarma Komutanı Albay Hacı Ali Büber, İl Emniyet Müdürü Onur Karaburun ve İl Göç İdaresi Müdürü Musa Aşılıoğlu eşlik etti.

İKİ ÜLKE ORTAKLIĞINDA İNŞA EDİLECEK

Proje çalışmalarında sona gelinen köprünün Türkiye tarafındaki kısmı Karayolları Genel Müdürlüğü, Yunanistan’daki kısmı ise Yunan hükümetince inşa edilecek.

Bu yıl inşasına başlanacak ikinci köprünün yolcu ve yük taşımacılığını hızlandırması amaçlanıyor.

Teknik çalışmaları Karayolları 1. Bölge Müdürlüğünce yapılan köprünün ana uzunluğu 811 metre, nehir üzerindeki kısmı ise 344 metre uzunluğunda olacak. Çift gidiş geliş şeklinde 4 şerit olarak inşa edilecek köprüde acil yardım yolu ve kaldırımlar da bulunacak.

Sınır kapıları arasında Meriç Nehri üzerinden geçişin sağlandığı 1958’de yapılan 2 şeritli mevcut köprü, iki ülke arasındaki artan araç trafiğine zaman zaman cevap veremiyor.
