PENGENDALI Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp mengakui lega selepas skuad kendaliannya itu berjaya menewaskan Atletico Madrid 3-2 dalam aksi Liga Juara-Juara di Stadium Metropolitano pada awal pagi Rabu.

Menurutnya, perlawanan menentang Atletico bukan aksi yang mudah apatah lagi bermain di laman keramat pasukan gergasi Sepanyol itu.

“Secara jujurnya ia satu perlawanan yang sukar. Saya tidak kisah macam mana kami memenangi perlawanan ini. Dalam situasi ini untuk mendapat tiga mata adalah sangat melegakan.

“Kami melakukan dengan baik pada awal perlawanan. Adakah kami menjangkakan ia akan menjadi satu permainan bertahan? Sudah tentu tidak dan ia tidak mudah.

“Kami menjaringkan dua gol cantik dan bermain bola sepak yang bagus. Ketika kedudukan 2-0 Atletico jelas tidak memikirkan mengenai penguasaan bola.

“Gol pertama yang kami berikan kemudian yang kedua, itu adalah permainan yang bagus tetapi jurang yang kami berikan tidak sepatutnya berlaku. Pada separuh masa, saya fikir semua orang di stadium menganggap akan memihak kami.

“Kami bermain pada babak kedua dengan permainan yang sangat luar biasa. Kami mendapat penalti, kemudian ada kad merah dan jelas perlawanan itu memihak kepada kami,” katanya.

Dalam perlawanan itu, Mohamed Salah terlebih dahulu meletakkan The Reds di hadapan pada minit kelapan sebelum Naby Keita menjadikan kedudukan 2-0 lima minit berselang.

Atletico bangkit menerus dua gol daripada penyerang sensasi mereka, Antoine Griezmann pada minit ke-20 dan ke-34 sebelum Salah memastikan kemenangan Liverpool menerusi jaringan penalti pada minit ke-78.

Dalam pada itu, Klopp tidak gembira dengan cara pengendali Atletico, Diego Simeone yang menolak untuk berjabat tangan dengannya dan terus ke bilik persalinan seleopas tamat perlawanan.

“Saya memahami kekecewaanya dengan beberapa keputusan pengadil termasuk melayangkan kad merah kepada Griezmann. Kami tidak sukakannya, tetapi situasi itu jelas kesalahan dilakukan oleh Griezmann kerana mengangkat kaki tinggi.

“Saya mahu berjabat tangan dengannya tetapi tindakannya yang tidak mengendahkan saya adalah tidak bagus. Lain kali, apabila kami bertemu lagi saya akan bersalaman. Dia marah bukan terhadap saya tetapi dengan perlawanan ini,” katanya.
