King Charles III to become patron of Royal British Legion
We are honoured and delighted at the Royal British Legion that today we’re learning that King Charles the Third will become the new patron of the Royal British Legion and there’s always been a unique and special relationship between the monarch and the Armed Forces community, so we are all delighted by today’s announcement. So as patron, the King will help us to shine a light on the service of those who are currently in the Armed Forces, but also those that have served in the past. He has always supported the Royal British Legion in terms of the welfare work that we do. Providing support and financial assistance to those in the Armed Forces community, but importantly, he also leads the country in remembrance. At the Cenotaph on remembrance attending the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance. It’s really important that those that have served are never forgotten and the King will lead that on behalf of the nation.
