MANILA, Philippines: Kevin Quiambao was officially crowned as the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball MVP ahead of the Finals Game Two between his La Salle and UP at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, December 3.
Leading the statistical points with 97.0 built on his season averages of 16.71 points, 10.86 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.93 steals per game, Quiambao got his MVP plum as well as his Mythical Team member trophy.
Quiambao, the first local MVP since Ateneo great Kiefer Ravena won his second straight in 2015, received a total of 200k from sponsors for winning the top individual award of the season.
Joining Quiambao in the Mythical Team is his teammate Evan Nelle as well as last season’s MVP Malick Diouf of UP, L-Jay Gonzales of FEU, and Rey Remogat of UE.
UP’s Francis Lopez was also awarded with the Rookie of the Year plum.News Related
