Nakuru Valisi Susan Kihika yaptığı açıklamada, baraj suyunun taşması sonucu çamur altında kalan yerleşim bölgelerinde 42 kişinin hayatını kaybettiğini, kurtarma çalışmalarının sürdüğünü ifade etti. Bölgedeki evler sular altında kalırken, karayollarının kapandığı öğrenildi.
