Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, is all set to enter the Rs 200 crore club on Valentine’s day. The film, which was released on 25th January to cash in on the Republic day weekend, will be entering the coveted club after spending 20 days at the box office.
The film has had a roller coaster ride at the box office, in its first week, it collected about Rs 146.5 crore, out of which Rs 28 crore came from the weekdays, while the major chunk came from the Republic Day weekend. Everyone began to write off the film the moment it crashed on Monday, and by Thursday everyone was sure about its short run at the box office.
However, the film jumped in the second weekend to collect Rs 28.75 crore, while the overall week’s collection was Rs 41 crore. The same cycle repeated in the third week as well, where the film collected Rs 9.4 crore over the weekend, but in the week on an average, it is collecting more than Rs 1 crore. The film on Tuesday, collected Rs 1.10 crore, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 199.15 crore as per Sacnilk. With today being Valentine’s Day, the film is expected to see a major jump in its collection making sure the film goes beyond Rs 200 crore collection.
This will be Hrithik’s third film in the Rs 200 crore club after War and Krrish 3.
