The State Government will allow movie halls, multiplexes, theatres, rangamandiras, auditoriums and similar places to operate at full seating capacity in districts where the Covid-19 the case positivity rate is less than 1% from October 1, a high-level pandemic review meeting chaired by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai decided on Friday.
In districts where the positivity rate is above 1%, these places can operate at half their capacity, but they should remain shut in districts where the positivity rate is above 2%.
Pubs will open to full capacity from October 3. The state-wide positivity rate on Friday was 0.58%.
The meeting decided to allow only those who have taken at least one dose of vaccination to enter these places, but not pregnant women and children. The meeting was also attended by Health Minister K Sudhakar, Revenue Minister R Ashoka and Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar.
The meeting decided to relax night curfew hours which will now be in force from 10 pm to 5 am.
The government has decided to open schools from 6th to 12th standard with full attendance in class rooms in districts where positivity rate is below 1%. Schools and colleges can function for five days a week.Internet Explorer Channel Network
