Karnataka 10th Result Topper 2024: Ankita Basappa Tops SSLC with Perfect Score, Aspires to Become an IAS Officer
Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) on May 9, 2024, announced the eagerly awaited results of the SSLC examination. The Karnataka SSLC Result declaration event was led by the Chairperson Manjushree during a press conference. The KSEAB 10th Result 2024 is now available on the official website – karresults.nic.in.

The standout student, Ankita Basappa from Melligeri Morarji Residential School in Bagalkote, scored an impeccable 625 out of 625, clinching the first place to become Karnataka SSLC Topper. Following closely were seven students who tied for the second position.
Ankita’s remarkable achievement underscored another year where female students outperformed their male counterparts, continuing a trend of educational excellence among girls in the state. Ankita Basappa, who topped the SSLC exams, aspires to become an IAS officer.
Karnataka Class 10th Result 2024: District-wise Performance
Despite these individual successes, the overall pass rate saw a decline from previous years, settling at 73.40% with a total of 631,204 students passing the exams—a drop of 10 percentage points from the previous year. The results also revealed a wide disparity in performance across different districts. Udupi led with a 94% pass rate, closely followed by Dakshina Kannada at 92.12% and Shimoga and Kodagu both at 88.67%. On the lower end of the spectrum, Yadgiri district had the lowest pass rate at 50.59%, with several other districts like Kalaburagi and Bidar also reporting lower than average results.
