Kampagnen “Flyv Frisk”, som Trafikstyrelsen, flyselskaber og fagforeninger er gået sammen om, skal sætte fokus på, hvordan ansatte og arbejdsgivere forebygger fatigue – vedvarende træthed, der er oparbejdet over tid. (Arkivfoto).

Trafikstyrelsen, flyselskaber og fagforeninger er gået sammen om kampagnen “Flyv Frisk”, der skal sætte fokus på fatigue hos piloter og kabineansatte.

Begrebet dækker over en oplevelse af vedvarende træthed eller udmattelse, der er oparbejdet over tid, fortæller Mads Eklund, der er luftfartsinspektør i Trafikstyrelsen.

– Fatigue skyldes typisk søvnmangel, som opstår, da mange piloter og kabineansatte har lange og skiftende vagter. Flyvninger på tværs af tidszoner, der kan give jetlag, kan også spille ind, siger han.

Det går ikke kun ud over piloter og kabineansatte, når de rammes af fatigue.

– Luftfartssikkerheden er bygget op af mange lag, der bidrager til, at luftfarten er en sikker transportform. Hvis piloter og kabineansatte bliver fatigue, så kan det svække sikkerheden.

– I værste fald kan det føre til ulykker eller utilsigtede hændelser, der kunne have været undgået, hvis man ikke var fatigue. For eksempel ved at de ansatte ikke er opmærksomme på ting, de burde være, siger Mads Eklund.

Hvis en ansat oplever fatigue, skal det indberettes til arbejdsgiveren, der derefter har et ansvar for at informere Trafikstyrelsen.

Kampagnen “Flyv Frisk” sættes i gang, da Trafikstyrelsen oplever en stigende tendens til at piloter og kabineansatte indberetter fatigue.

– Det er positivt, da vores system er bygget på rapporteringer, siger Mads Eklund.

Flyselskaberne ser, om der er tendenser i rapporterne, mens Trafikstyrelsen holder øje med, at flyselskaberne laver de nødvendige ændringer.

Den primære grund til at piloter og kabineansatte ikke indberetter fatigue kan være, at de ikke er klar over, hvad begrebet dækker over, oplyser Mads Eklund.

Han fortæller også, at der blandt nogle ansatte kan være en frygt for at rapportere.

– Vi er godt klar over, at der kan være et mørketal. Det vil vi også gerne have frem med sådan en kampagne og sætte fokus på, hvor vigtigt det er at rapportere, siger Mads Eklund.
