What a year it has been for Ryan Tubridy, but it looks like things are on the way back up for the presenter.
After keeping his latest venture under his hat, he finally let his secret out that he was heading to the UK to present on Virgin Radio, with his show set to be simulcast to and Irish audience daily on Dublin’s Q102.

Ryan has consistently been one of the top earners in RTÉ for the last decade or so, so we’d expect that his new deal is worth mega bucks- but even before that, he wasn’t doing too badly for himself at all!

We all know the nitty gritty of Ryan’s contracts with RTÉ for the last few years. From 2017 to 2022 was paid on average €525,695 annually.
An extra €120,000 was given to the presenter between the same period which RTÉ failed to disclose and the star also got €150,000 from the station’s barter account due to a Renault deal, giving him a pretty healthy bank balance. But what else has Ryan been making money out of?

According to Business Plus, his company Tuttle Productions Ltd, of which his mother Catherine is also a director, may have lost €66,700- in 2020, but the cash reserves bounced back the following year to a total of €24,100.
This means the broadcaster made a profit of €13,600 in 2021. But Tubs has interest that extend well beyond his company’s bank balance.

In 2016, he bought a house in Monkstown in Dublin for €900,000, but he managed to make a massive€400,000 profit when he flipped the property just two years later for €1.4million.
Ryan also owns half of a house with his ex-wife in Dalkey, where she and their two daughters currently reside.

Ryan’s salary in RTÉ had to be published as it was coming out of the state’s purse, but his new contract with Virgin Radio won’t be open for such scrutiny.
It’s estimated that Ryan’s new radio colleague Chris Evans’ is on around £2million a year, but considering Ryan is a fairly new face on the British media scene, his earning are not thought to be anything like that.
We’ll never truly know how much he’s on unless the man himself reveals all, but many believe that he will be earning a considerable amount more than if he had stayed here in Ireland with the national station.
