Cedrick Juan is the star of Esquire’s new cover story. In the interview, the actor talks about raising awareness about historical injustices, not striving for fame or awards, and reflects on his journey so far, as well as recognizing the importance of arts and entertainment as a means to articulate one’s thoughts, expressions, and emotions.

“When I found out that I was going to portray Burgos, I thought to myself, ‘Cedrick, this is bigger than you.’ It really dawned on me that I wanted to take on this role not just for myself, but as a meaningful contribution to our history,” Juan says.
