All is well with Damage CTRL again
Bayley infuriated her Damage CTRL stablemates when she attempted to interfere on Kairi Sane’s behalf during her match against Bianca Belair on Friday Night SmackDown last week and failed. They once again seemed to be teasing out a proper breakup of the group, or at least Bayley getting kicked out of it.
Naturally, that continued on Friday Night SmackDown this week, when the entire group informed Bayley she was to hang backstage for Asuka’s match against Charlotte Flair. The rest of them, however, would be going out to support their teammate.
When it came time for the match, the babyface crew of Belair, Shotzi, Zelina Vega, and Michin all arrived to drive off Damage CTRL, leaving Asuka alone. Naturally, Bayley showed up despite their prior request, and this time managed to actually help matters, ensuring Asuka won the match.
What would this mean?
Well…
It would seem all is well with Damage CTRL once again.
This is yet another stop/start for the group, and Bayley in particular. It legitimately feels as though they’ve been teasing this out forever. If it’s going to lead to an actual feud between the two sides, one that could culminate at a major event, they’re going to need to pull the trigger on it sooner rather than later.
Anyway, here are all the videos from SmackDown this week:
