Jill Duggar and her fam have been back from their latest family vacation for a few weeks now, but they’re finally sharing all the details with their followers. In new videos on her YouTube channel, Jill is sharing footage from her Oregon trip — including their road trip on the Oregon Trail (and no, before you ask, no one died of dysentery in the process).
Jill’s been sharing her trip with fans, day by day
They took the trip at the end of summer, before Israel went back to school. While there, they got to hang out with Audrey and [Tori Roloff](https://cafemom.com/entertainment/jill-duggar-tori-roloff-oregon-vacation) — major TLC crossover! — and visit the beach, among a lot of other cool experiences.
But this time, their video is all about the trail.
Their Oregon Trail road trip took three days
They drove to Oregon from their home in Arkansas, though they did have the advantage of stopping in hotels (and at McDonald’s) along the way, which we’re sure everyone appreciated.
“We made the 3 day trek back home, stopping on the way to see some of the actual wagon tracks left by those who took the original Oregon Trail many years ago!” Jill wrote on her blog.
The kids seemed to have a good time on the road, too
As they drove, Israel and Samuel kept busy in the backseat, making crafts and playing together. Peace in the backseat isn’t always the easiest thing to accomplish when on a family road trip, but it seems like Jill and Derick lucked out this time around.
In another video, they went to find the grave of Derick’s mom’s birth mother
They didn’t know much about her, but they did know that she was from Greeley, Colorado, so when they passed through, they stopped. It took a little searching, but they were ultimately able to find it even though grass had grown over it, totally hiding it from view.
“It’s kinda cool,” Derick said. “I like history.”
The boys seemed to have a blast at the beach, too
From what Jill and Derick have shown us so far, it seems like their family vacation was a total success — even the hours spent in the car didn’t bring them down!
Jill still has plenty more of their vacation to share with fans, so we can’t wait to see the rest. She’s definitely inspiring us to take an Oregon Trail vacation of our own.Internet Explorer Channel Network
