Watch: The Moment Puducherry Snake Handler Caught Poisonous Reptile

A spine-chilling video has emerged on the internet, showcasing a snake rescue operation on the roof of a house in Puducherry. The video captures the expertise of a snake catcher as he skillfully handles the situation, with police personnel assisting in ensuring the snake’s safe removal.

In the footage, the snake catcher was seen widening a small hole in the wall with a hammer, coaxing the snake to emerge. Reacting swiftly, the snake slithers out of its concealed space. The snake catcher adeptly secures the snake by its tail and carefully transports it to an open area outside the house.

The owner of the house reported the snake’s presence at the police station in the Pudunagar area under the Nettapakkam block. Assistant Police Inspector Kathiresan, along with his colleague Ashok, responded promptly to the call. Within 10 minutes, snake catcher Akash arrived at the scene to handle the delicate operation.

With the assistance of police, the snake is placed in a closed cylindrical enclosure. Following safety protocols, the snake was later released into the nearby jungle, ensuring a secure environment for both the residents and the snake.

Residents of the area expressed their gratitude towards the police and the snake catcher for their quick and effective response, preventing any potential harm caused by the uninvited guest.

While incidents of snakes entering human habitats are common in rural areas, a particularly chilling episode unfolded in Thane, Maharashtra, in September. Viral footage captured a massive snake, identified as an Albino Burmese Python, hanging from a window grill at a residential building. Two individuals worked diligently to untangle the 10-foot-long python, ensuring its safe retrieval without injury.

Instances of wild animals venturing into residential areas have become increasingly reported. In Nashik, a leopard entered a home due to an open door early in the morning, prompting a rescue operation by forest officials. The captured leopard was carefully transported out of the house on a stretcher, highlighting the delicate balance between human habitats and the wild.
