ITV I'm A Celebrity: Arlene Phillips' lookalike daughter and younger partner she met on set of Freddie Mercury's music video

Asia's Tech News Daily

Strictly Come Dancing ex-judge Arlene Philips is already proving to be a firm favourite with viewers given the short period of time she has appeared on the reality show.

The 78-year-old choreographer and theatre director happens to be the oldest celebrity to take part on I’m A Celeb hosted by Ant and Dec.

Arlene entered the Welsh castle with her camp mates Richard Madeley, Naughty Boy, David Ginola and Danny Miller who were all placed in ‘The Clink’ as the losing team.

Away from the stars whirlwind experience in the castle so far, here we take a look at the her family life.

Arlene’s daughters

Arlene has two daughters: her eldest Alana with her ex-partner, fashion designer Danny Noble, and younger daughter Abi with her current long-term partner, designer and carpenter Angus Ion.

Fans have noticed the striking resemblance between Abi and her television star mother as one other famous celebrity presenter.

In an interview between Abi and Lorraine on her ITV daytime show, the host quickly picked up on how her daughter sounded exactly like her and shared the same facial features.

Host Lorraine turned to Abi exclaiming, “You sound so like your mum, Abi! You sound exactly like her, I bet everybody says that to you, and you look like her too!

“Yeah, I look and sound the same,” Abi laughed. “I think, when I get to that age, I’m going to just be her carbon copy if I’m already like that!”

Arlene is also the grandmother to Lila Primrose and Emme Bow, who are the children of Alana and her husband Henry Stewart.

Her long-term partner

Arlene is currently in a long-term relationship Angus Ion who is a designer carpenter from London.

The pair met 1985 and shortly after began dating and have been going strong ever since.

She met Angus on the set of Freddie Mercury’s music video “I Was Born To Love You” who was working as a set builder at the time.

The couple tend to keep the details of their personal lives private.
