it's a wrap for rajendra prasad-starrer telugu film laggam

Rajendra Prasad described Laggam as an emotional rollercoaster ride.

The upcoming Telugu film Laggam, an action drama directed by Ramesh Cheppala went on floors in January. The makers of the film organised a pooja muhurat which was attended by all the cast members, including the film’s lead actor Rajendra Prasad.

Produced by Subhishi Entertainments, the film, whose shooting began in January completed yesterday.

As the elders say, “Get married and build a house”, director Ramesh Cheppala has a different take – he suggests that we can build a house through EMI, so we should give priority to marriage.

Producer Venugopal Reddy explained that Laggam has all the splendour, joy, customs and games of a typical wedding celebration.

Rajendra Prasad described Laggam as an emotional rollercoaster ride. With confidence, Ramesh Cheppala claimed to have captured every emotion with his unique filmmaking style and promised a pleasant script. The audience is expected to be stunned by the performances of LB Sriram, Rohini and Raghu Babu.

The cast includes Sai Ronak and Pragya Nagra in the lead roles and Rajendra Prasad, Rohini, LB Sriram, Saptagiri and others in supporting roles.

Whether you call it Pelli, Shaadi, Laagam or Vivaham, the essence remains the same – to unite a couple. Laggam reflects various cultural nuances and will appeal to fans of all genres. Ramesh Cheppala has directed this film highlighting the uniqueness and magnificence of Telugu customs. Charan Arjun has composed beautiful tracks for the film while Bal Reddy, known for his work in Baby, serves as the cinematographer and ensures that the visuals will mesmerise the audience.

At the pooja ceremony, Rajendra Prasad said, “I am playing a role that no one will ever forget. Laggam will be one of a kind. It is special that I am playing such a big role in this film. This is the best in my career since Pelli Pusthakam. These stories will connect with all Telugu people. The film will be a sumptuous meal for the audience.”

Rajendra Prasad made his debut in the Telugu entertainment industry with the film, Sneham, in 1977. In his long career, he has delivered numerous hits for which he was loved immensely by his fans and the Telugu audience. Laggam is expected to hit the theatres in late 2024.
