Italvolley out, Adinolfi attacca ancora Egonu: "La bandiera olimpica le ha fatto male"

“Sempre più convinto che la decisione di fare di Paola Egonu la vessillifera olimpica per ragioni extrasportive abbia nuociuto alle qualità sportive della 22enne”. Dopo l’eliminazione dell’Italia femminile di volley ai quarti di finale, Mario Adinolfi rinfocola la polemica sulla decisione del Cio di scegliere la pallavolista italiana di origine nigeriana tra le atlete portabandiera delle Olimpiadi.

“Paola Egonu diventa portabandiera olimpica perché incarna un cliché e non per meriti sportivi – aveva scritto su Twitter il leader del Popolo della Famiglia – ci sono almeno 30 atleti nella delegazione italiana con un curriculum più valido della Egonu, ma con la colpa di essere bianchi o eterosessuali. Egonu è un triste inno al conformismo”. Oggi, non appena la Serbia ha messo a terra il pallone che ha eliminato Egonu e compagne dai Giochi di Tokyo, Adinolfi ha twittato ancora. Ribadendo quanto già scritto alla vigilai dei Giochi e adesso tirando in ballo Vanessa Ferrari, splendido argento nella ginnastica: “Certi onori si concedono poi, Vanessa Ferrari avrebbe meritato il riconoscimento e Egonu si sarebbe sentita meno star”.

Sempre più convinto che la decisione di fare di Paola Egonu la vessillifera olimpica per ragioni extrasportive abbia nuociuto alle qualità sportive della 22enne. Certi onori si concedono poi, Vanessa Ferrari avrebbe meritato il riconoscimento e Egonu si sarebbe sentita meno star.
