Intruder Detained Outside Drake’s Toronto Mansion One Day After Shooting
An intruder was detained in Toronto on Wednesday after allegedly attempting to gain access to Drake’s mansion. The incident comes one day after the rapper’s security guard was shot outside the same residence.
“Officers were called after a person attempted to gain access to the property,” a police spokesperson told CityNews.

No other details on the suspect were made available.
On Tuesday, Toronto Police posted on X, formerly Twitter, that the shooting, which occurred at Bayview Avenue and Lawrence Avenue in the city’s Bridle Path district, left one man with “serious injuries” which had to be treated at nearby Sunnybrook Hospital.
Inspector Paul Krawczyk of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force said during a press conference outside Drake’s home that officers were called to the residence just after 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.
“That person was working apparently as a security guard at the residence. He was standing outside the gates in front of the residence when the shooting occurred,” officer Krawczyk said. There was no known motive for the shooting at the time, and the victim remained in the hospital on Wednesday.
Both incidents come as an alleged feud between Drake and fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar continues to make headlines. The back-and-forth had continued through the weekend with Drake’s release, “The Heart Part 6,” a new diss track which pushed back against some of the sexual predator allegations made by Lamar in a series of songs released over the past week.
