Reese Witherspoon and her daughter Ava Phillippe had fans seeing double as they arrived to the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards, held at The Barker Hangar, on Sunday.
While posing for photos together, the duo were hard to distinguish from one another in strapless cocktail dresses, one week after the 47-year-old Oscar winner brought Ava’s younger brother, Deacon, as her date to Golden Globes last weekend.
For the occasion, the Legally Blonde star wowed in a black gown, from Celine, with a large asymmetrical bow across her waist and racy slit as well as jewelry from Bulgari and pumps from Christian Louboutins.
The Hello Sunshine founder’s eldest child, who graduated from UC Berkeley, made a statement in an embellished minidress, designed by Monique Lhuillier, black tights and matching heels.

Witherspoon and Ava, whose father is Ryan Phillippe, close-knit relationship and have sparked headlines over the years for their striking resemblance.
Back in September, the mother-of-three shared a heartfelt tribute to her little girl on her 24th birthday.
In addition to sharing a heartwarming throwback of them together, Witherspoon described Ava as ‘the most inspiring, thoughtful, creative, dynamic, funny woman.’
‘It’s the joy of my life to watch you grow,’ the performer added. ‘I have learned so much from being your mom. How lucky is that??!! I love you to the stars and back.’
Their mother-daughter date night comes just a week after Ava’s brother, Deacon, accompanied their mother to the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards.
At the event, Deacon, a student at New York University, told Variety, ‘This is my first Golden Globes and really my first awards show.’
Deacon said that his famed mother stressed to him cleanliness and courtesy for the high-profile outing.
‘There’s two main things: gum, hand sanitizer and be nice to everyone,’ Deacon said.

Deacon said that he was ‘following her tonight,’ in reference to his mother, adding, ‘She’s the party animal and I’m just trying to keep up.’
The New Orleans native, who split with husband Jim Toth last year, is mother to daughter Ava and Deacon with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, 49; and son Tennessee, 11, with Toth, 53.
Witherspoon was pictured inside the event alongside her costar on The Morning Show, Jennifer Aniston.
At the event, she said that doing the third season of the Apple TV+ series was ‘the best fun ever.’
Witherspoon said of the series, according to the New York Post, ‘OK, I went to space. Also, we had a hack at the network at the morning show. Also, there was trouble with my brother and January 6th. Yep. It was busy. I don’t even know but we are on such a roll.
‘I’ve had such great feedback about season three so Jen and I really excited to get started.’
Witherspoon has past won one Golden Globe over six nominations since 2000.
In 2006, she claimed the honors for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical for her portrayal of June Carter in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.
