If you’ve been looking to get yourself a new tablet this Raya season, then you’re in luck as Samsung Malaysia has announced that they’re reducing the recommended retail price tags on a couple of their Galaxy Tab S9 series devices.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series new Malaysian pricing
Effective 9 April 2024 onwards, the tablets that are getting lower price tags are the Galaxy Tab S9 with Book Cover 256GB, Galaxy Tab S9 FE 128GB and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE 256GB, with both the WiFI-only and the 5G-enabled versions all getting a price cut. Here’s how much the six tablets now cost in Malaysia:
- Samsung Galaxy S9 with Book Cover Keyboard 5G, 256GB – RM4,849 RM4,549
- Samsung Galaxy S9 with Book Cover Keyboard WiFi-only, 256GB – RM4,199 RM3,899
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G, 256GB – RM2,999 RM2,699
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE WiFI-only, 256GB – RM2,399 RM2,099
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G, 128GB – RM2,699 RM2,399
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE WiFI-only, 128GB – RM2,099 RM1,799
Samsung reduces prices on Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets, up to RM300 cheaper now

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series specs
If you do end up getting yourself a new Galaxy Tab S9 with the reduced price, you’ll find yourself a flagship Android tablet with large 11-inch, Dynamic AMOLED 2X display pushing a 1600 x 2560p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system-on-chip powering it, while keeping the lights on is an 8,400mAh battery with 45W fast charging. There’s also a 13MP, f/2.0 camera on the back and a 12MP, f/2.4 selfie camera in front along with a quad speaker setup and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
As for the more affordable Galaxy Tab S9 FE, it features a 10.9-inch, IPS LCD display with a 1440 x 2304p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. You’ll also find an Exynos 1380 here instead of a Qualcomm chip, along with a smaller 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. There’s stereo speakers too, as well as an 8MP rear camera, a 12MP front camera and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
