Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze “loves” what Patrick Vieira has brought to the club, according to journalist Tom Barclay.
Former Arsenal midfielder Vieira became Palace’s new manager in July, and seems to have made a considerable impact already.
How has Vieira started at Palace?
Under Vieira’s predecessor, Roy Hodgson, Palace were never in any serious danger of being relegated, but they were hardly the most exciting team to watch.
Now with Vieira at the helm, the Eagles are arguably a little less predictable, and are now a side for neutral fans to keep an eye on.
Having added attacking talents to their squad such as Conor Gallagher, Odsonne Edouard and Michael Olise, Vieira looks to be building a fine attacking line-up at Selhurst Park.
What has Barclay said about Eze’s thoughts on Vieira?
Eze is yet to play since Vieira took charge of Palace, as he continues to work his way back from a serious Achilles injury.
However, his return may not be far away, and it seems that the 23-year-old cannot wait to play in Vieira’s team.
Speaking about Eze, Barclay said: “He’s massively highly-rated, really well-liked, really infectious enthusiasm, loves Vieira. I don’t know if you saw that video talking about Vieira, seems to really, really buy into his methods and his style of play, and the way he goes about things.”

Will Eze thrive in Vieira’s Palace side?
Eze was one of Palace’s standout performers last season, as he was directly involved in 10 league goals – only Wilfried Zaha (13) and Christian Benteke (11) got more goal contributions for the Premier League outfit.
Yet the team perhaps did not play to his strengths at times, as they largely sat back and waited for their opponents to make mistakes. This term, Vieira’s men appear to be playing on the front foot more, and this could suit Eze.
The £37,000-a-week player could be back in action soon, and it seems likely that he would enjoy getting on the ball more and having the opportunity to produce a moment of magic in the final third.
Furthermore, he will now be surrounded by a wealth of talent after Palace’s busy summer transfer window, and this could lead to him linking up well with his teammates and taking his game to the next level in the second half of the campaign.
