SHAH ALAM – Industri tenusu berpotensi untuk dikembangkan bagi menjamin bekalan makanan dalam negara dan mengurangkan kebergantungan kepada produk import.

Kementerian Pertanian dan Industri Makanan (MAFI) dalam satu kenyataan pada Jumaat berkata, pada tahun 2020, penggunaan susu dalam negara adalah sebanyak 69.4 juta liter setahun.

“Industri tenusu tempatan hanya mampu mengeluarkan sebanyak 43.3 juta liter setahun walaupun telah menunjukkan peningkatan berbanding tahun 2015 (36.4 juta liter).

“Negara masih perlu mengimport sebanyak 26.1 juta liter dari luar negara. Di bawah Dasar Agromakanan Negara 2021-2030 (DAN 2.0) tahap sara diri (SSL) susu segar disasarkan 100% menjelang 2030 berbanding 62.4% pada tahun 2020.

Bagi mencapai sasaran tersebut, MAFI melalui Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar telah memperkenalkan Pelan Strategik Pembangunan Industri Tenusu Negara (Dairy Plan) 2021-2025,” jelas kenyataan itu.

Menurut kenyataan itu, usaha tersebut perlu mendapat sokongan dan kerjasama daripada pihak pemain industri ke arah pembangunan industri tenusu yang lebih berdaya maju.

Sementara itu, Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha (Pembangunan) MAFI, Datuk Badrul Hisham Mohd berkata, jalinan kerjasama MAFI dengan Farm Fresh Bhd (Farm Fresh) adalah untuk meningkatkan pengeluaran susu dan memasarkan kepada pengguna melalui pelbagai platform.

“Hasil kerjasama strategik bersama Farm Fresh telah berjaya mewujudkan peluang pekerjaan dengan melahirkan seramai 45 stokis, 832 homedealers dan 1,302 ejen di seluruh Malaysia dan Singapura yang sebahagian besar terdiri dari para suri rumah.

“Pendekatan ini untuk memastikan setiap keluarga Malaysia kekal mempunyai akses kepada sumber makanan yang berkhasiat dengan harga yang berpatutan sekali gus membantu industri tenusu terus berkembang yang pastinya memberi manfaat kepada penternak,” katanya.

Beliau berkata, MAFI sentiasa komited untuk membantu usahawan membangunkan perniagaan berasaskan produk pertanian dan industri asas tani melalui Geran Agropreneur Muda.

“Pemohon boleh memohon bantuan sehingga RM20,000 bagi tujuan pemasaran dan kemudahan seperti peralatan dan ‘mobile food truck’ kepada pemohon yang berjaya,” kata Badrul Hisham.
