KUALA LUMPUR- Pemergian pengarah filem Mamat Khalid satu kehilangan sebutir bintang kepada dunia seni tanah air, kata Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Ismail Sabri turut mengucapkan takziah kepada keluarga Allahyarham Mamat Khalid.

Allahyarham Mamat Khalid atau nama sebenarnya, Mohamad Mohamad Khalid telah menghembuskan nafas terakhir di Hospital Slim River, Perak, kira-kira jam 12.30 tengah malam pada Ahad.

Pengarah tersohor yang terkenal dengan filem arahannya seperti “Zombi Kampung Pisang” dan “Hantu Kak Limah’ meninggalkan isteri, Hasmah Hassan dan lima orang anak iaitu tiga lelaki, Mohd Khalid Amen, Mohd Khalid Adam, Mohd Khalid Zaffa dan dua perempuan iaitu Sara dan Nurhassanah.
