Get your Tesco Clubcards at the ready, folks, as there’s not long left to use up £18million worth of vouchers.

The supermarket has warned shoppers that millions in Clubcard vouchers issued in February 2022 are set to expire shortly, leaving you until February 29 to spend them before they’re gone for good.

The vouchers can be used in-store or online to help pay for your shop, with 150 points equal to the value of £1.50 at Tesco.

Alternatively, you can double your rewards by exchanging points for vouchers at more than 100 partners – but you’ll need to act fast if yours have been lying around waiting to be spent.

New vouchers are issues every three months in February, May, August and November.

In the latest crop, vouchers to the tune of more than £125million are set to arrive via post or the Tesco app on February 5 – meaning those from two years’ back will soon become invalid.

Tesco Group customer director Emma Botton said: ‘Household budgets are still under pressure, and we want to help them stretch further.

‘Tesco Clubcard continues to be the best way to get great value, and with more than £18m worth of vouchers due to expire at the end of the month, we’re reminding customers to spend them now.’

The loyalty scheme is currently holding a double points event – its first in over a decade – with added bonuses whenever customers scan for groceries, petrol or at Tesco cafés until Sunday, February 25.

According to the retailer, a staggering 10 billion Clubcard points are expected to be collected across the event, benefitting more than 20 million members.

How do Tesco Clubcard vouchers work?

Clubcard points are collected when shopping in Tesco stores, online, or with Points Partners like Evri and Halfords.

For every £1 spent, members get a point (boosted to two until February 25) which can then be turned into vouchers for money off a Tesco shop or to spend at a Reward Partner, or donated to charity.

You need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher, which can be done online or via the Tesco app.

What you can spend Tesco Clubcard points on?

If you choose to exchange your points for Tesco vouchers, 150 points is equal to £1.50 to spend in-store or at Tesco filling stations.

However, you can get up to two points value from your Clubcard points by exchanging them with one of the supermarket’s Reward Partners.

There are more than 100 companies registered as part of the scheme, offering everything from money off days out to discounts on big ticket purchases.

From restaurants like Pizza Express and Zizzi to cinemas to gyms, there’s plenty to choose from, the majority of which give you double your points in vouchers.

So, don’t let them go to waste and double check those expiry dates.
