Immigration detainees posing a ‘real problem’ for Western Australia
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the immigration detainee debacle is an issue which seems to go “on and on”.
Ninette Simons, 73, and her husband Philip, 76, had their home in Girrawheen broken into and robbed on April 16, during which she was allegedly punched in the face several times before she lost consciousness, while he was physically restrained.

WA Police confirmed three men were charged over the incident, including a former immigration detainee released in November after the High Court ruled indefinite detention for those with no prospect of deportation unlawful.
“In WA, it’s a real problem because of that crime,” Mr Clennell said.
“And in WA, if they lose four seats, they are in a minority.”
