Jack Grealish was seen out with Man City team-mates in video posted onlineCity say the video was taken at 8pm on Sunday and no players broke a curfew Asked about the footage on Tuesday, boss Pep Guardiola was not concernedGuardiola joked that his invite must have been lost as he wanted to tag along
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola came to the defence of his players and said their only mistake was not inviting him to join them after footage emerged of midfielder Jack Grealish reportedly being refused entry from a bar.
In a clip shared on TikTok, the £100million star is seen on a night out with team-mates Kyle Walker and Riyad Mahrez, as well as members of City’s backroom staff.
Asked about the footage, which shows Grealish worse for wear, Guardiola was not in the least concerned, instead focused more on the fact he wasn’t asked to tag along.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola was only annoyed at the fact he wasn’t invited on the night out
‘I’m so upset because they didn’t invite me. I don’t like it – hopefully next time they can invite me for dinner,’ Guardiola joked.
‘The video didn’t show exactly what happened. Dinner together, sober, enjoying with their mates and backroom staff.
‘The players know the risk when they go out because of social media but all of them – Riyad, Kyle, Ally (Marland, kit man), Jack were perfect.
‘But they will be fined because they didn’t invite me.’

Riyad Mahrez (white cap) was seen in the video but did not seem to be in the same condition

England and City team-mate Kyle Walker was also briefly seen in the footage (blue cap)
The video, posted by TikTok user Mizormalc, is captioned: ‘Man like Jacky too drunk to get in’.
The person filming can also be overheard saying: ‘Jack’s burst, he’s not allowed inside, look at him, Jack’s burst.’
Grealish is seen in a white hoodie outside the Albert Schloss – a Bavarian beer cellar in Manchester city centre – with a number of other people around him. He appears to have a brief exchange of words and then walks away.
City say the video was taken at 8pm on Sunday night, and that none of the players broke a curfew because they had a day off on Monday, ahead of training today and Wednesday night’s home Premier League match against Brentford.

Albert’s Schloss is a popular bar in Manchester, which hosts live shows and music
The club also refutes any suggestion that the players were drunk and insist it was their own decision not to go into the packed Albert’s Schloss.
Less than two months Grealish was dropped along with team-mate and fellow England international Phil Foden for ‘not turning up to a recovery session in the right condition’.
They were benched by the manager for a game and afterwards he revealed it was not simply a matter of rotating his squad.
But it appears this time a more jovial Guardiola has taken no issue with the video.
