Zykiah Dichett, now 15-years-old, from Worsley, began showing an interest in cleaning at a young age.
His 'constant' cleaning at home raised concerns and at 13-years-old he was eventually diagnosed with an obsessive cleaning disorder (OCD).
In a bid to get him outside more, his parents purchased him a car valeting set for Christmas one year.
He started his business by cleaning relatives' cars for £5 using the valet set he was gifted.
As he grew more confident he began asking neighbours if he could clean their vehicles.
The Culcheth High School pupil's mum, Jo Dichett, 45, posted in a local Facebook group explaining Zykiah's love of cleaning cars.
She supported Zykiah's interest and asked anyone who wanted their car cleaned to leave outside their house.
Just hours after posting the Facebook post, cars were lining up in the quiet residential street as dozens turned up to show their support for Zykiah.
Jo spoke to the Manchester Evening News, and said: “We had a queue of cars down the close and down the next street.
“He did it that well they asked to come back.
“He was charging a fiver but everyone was giving him £10.”
It wasn't long after, that a local businessman, impressed by Zykiah's work offered him a permanent place to work from.
Jason from Coal and Cotton Gin Bar reached out to the family and offered a canopy outside the venue every weekend for Zykiah to work from.
Two years on, Zakiah has his own website and social media he runs, which has brought an array of celeb clients to him, said his mum, Jo.
She added: “Anyone who has a high-performance car comes to him but he does all cars.
“And he’s all self-taught, he’s never done a course. He’s done it all online and designed his own flyers.
“A lot of young lads message him asking how he started and he says with a bucket and sponge.”
Zykiah’s business, called Dirt2Clean Manchester, charges £10 for outside and winter washes, mini valets for £20, full valets for £30, and king valets for £50.
The year 11 pupil hopes to one day own a car valeting company in his own name.
