A Perth mother accused of defrauding the National Disability Insurance Scheme has had her criminal charges dropped.
Vida Reid, the founding director of Armadale-based disability provider Forward Focused Group, was charged with two counts of fraud and two counts of dealings with proceeds of crime.
Prosecutors had previously accused her of defrauding the NDIS of nearly $250,000 by ripping off clients living with disabilities through overcharging and invoicing for services that weren’t provided.
Reid took to social media to post a celebratory photo after the charges were withdrawn last week.
In 2022, Reid was nominated for an AusMumpreneur award in the category of Disabled Business Excellence.
Vida and her husband Simon Reid, who was also a director of Forward Focused, had previously been issued banning orders from the NDIS preventing them from working with clients for five years.
