The recently released Malayalam entertainer, ‘Aavesham,’ has been making waves in Mollywood, particularly for its impactful storytelling and Fahadh Faasil’s stellar performance.
However, what’s even more noteworthy is the emotional impact it had on director Jeo Baby, who confessed to shedding tears while watching the film.

In an interview with Radio Mango, Jeo Baby revealed, “I cry for little things. Even after watching ‘Aavesham,’ I cried.”
The director of ‘Kaathal’ shared that he was deeply moved by Fahadh Faasil’s portrayal in the movie, particularly during a touching scene towards the end where the character expresses his emotions. He specifically mentioned shedding tears during a heart-wrenching moment when Fahadh Faasil’s character runs after the kids, appreciating Malayalam cinema’s brilliance at capturing such raw and emotional moments.
Jeo Baby reflected on his emotional reaction, highlighting how the character Ranga, initially depicted as a formidable gangster, underwent an emotional transformation towards the end of the film. He elaborated, stating, “When the credits started rolling, I started crying.”
Jeo Baby admitted that he had questioned his own emotional reaction, stating that while watching a film like ‘Aavesham,’ he often wondered why he was moved to tears. He further added that he turns emotional easily.
‘Aavesham,’ directed by Jithu Madhavan, features Fahadh Faasil, Pranav Raj, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Roshan Shanavas in lead roles, with Midhutty, Sajin Gopu, and Mansoor Ali Khan in supporting roles. The story revolves around three teens who come to Bangalore for their engineering education and find themselves entangled in a fight, seeking the help of a local gangster named Ranga.
